Welcome from the Parents’ Association President

Parkdale Parents’ Association plays an active role in the school community. The Association provides an opportunity for parents to be involved in their children’s school life and to stay up-to-date with what is happening within the school.  Unlike kinder and primary school Parent groups – we are not actively fundraising or asking parents to take on jobs or roles.

The goal of the Parkdale Parents’ Association is to improve communication between parents and the school community, and to assist the school by providing support to teachers and educational programs.

We all know how difficult it is to rely solely on our children for vital information, no matter how hard we try!  Our teaching and administrative staff encourage and appreciate parent involvement in our Association. We are proud to support the learning of our children and we encourage you all to consider being a part of your child’s secondary education by joining the Parents’ Association.

The Association meets once a month on the school premises and lasts around an hour.   There are reports from School Council, School Principal and a guest speaker from the school leadership team or teacher with a specialist area of responsibility.  It is a great opportunity to find out what’s happening around the school, network with other parents and discuss any queries you may have regarding the school and education of your child/ren.

We understand you are busy, and there is no obligation to attend meetings – but you can join the association and we will email the minutes to you each month!
