Funds at work
Situated where the C block once stood, works on the yet-to-be-formally-named new Junior Learning Centre are scheduled to commence around the start of term 3, 2021, with a 12-month timeline to completion.
This multi-story building will have 18 new teaching spaces and three definitive breakout spaces. Of the teaching spaces, four will be for multi-purpose.
Features of the new Junior Centre will include:
- staff workrooms
- an Assistant Principal office space
- a lift for access to the first floor
- Cisco Wi-Fi 6 for Internet access and wireless laser projectors
- heating and air-conditioning for all classrooms
A locker bay and courtyard are planned for the rear of the building.
In addition, external playing courts will be built to the south of the basketball stadium (completed); and the extended first aid area will accommodate the increased student numbers at the school (completed).
